About this event
The Newlyn Society of Artists brings together art and language in its 2024 spring show, which opens on Good Friday at Tremenheere Gallery, Penzance. Distinguished poet Katrina Naomi, who is Chair of the Society of Authors’ Poetry & Spoken Word Group and is a winner of numerous awards, is collaborating with the NSA to select and curate the show. She will also be writing a specially commissioned poem and will give a first reading at Tremenheere Gallery during the exhibition to mark the collaboration, followed by a short talk.
More than fifty artworks will be exhibited by the NSA’s nationally and internationally recognised artists, embracing all media, from painting, drawing and print, to film, sculpture and 3D installation. Visitors should expect the unexpected, as The Newlyn Society of Artists is known for its commitment to pushing the boundaries of creative expression: recent exhibitions have explored the possibilities of augmented reality and virtual experience.
