Quiet Gathering – Chapel Porth Walk

Join our quiet community for a gentle walk!

Welcome to July’s quiet gathering! If you haven’t been to a quiet gathering before, then you are more than welcome to join us. This a chance for quieter natured people to meet, like-minded people in a safe and supportive environment. There is no judgement here and we have all experienced feelings of social anxiety, so know you are not alone! You are always welcome to stay with us for as little and as long as you like to.

About the Event:
More about July’s Quiet meet up! – We thought this would be a fantastic chance to have some blue therapy before the crowds hit in, we will be doing a short walk from Chapel Porth towards St Agnes head.

What we’re doing: Walk and maybe a coffee after!
What to bring/wear: The coastal path is uneven and can be hilly, please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Sun cream, water and snacks recommended.
Cost: Free. Parking is £2 for 1hr, £4 for 4Hrs and £8 for all day. Free to National Trust members and blue badge holders. We can arrange lift shares closer to the time as there is free parking nearby.

Chapel Porth is a beautiful secluded and *usually* quiet spot. We will be doing a short walk (just over a mile) from Chapel Porth to Wheal Coates and back. The terrain is uneven and hilly on the way there (downhill on the way back – yay!), so strong footwear is advised! We can take plenty of breaks if we need to as well – just more of an excuse to enjoy the view! 🙂 It’s a great place for us to look out for seals and dolphins (and maybe even whales!).

Low tide is around 12:10, so there is a chance to do some beach exploring/ have a cup of coffee after if you fancy it, if anyone fancies a comfort zone stretch we could even have a dip in the sea! 🙂
