About this event
Two artists, both members of The Lizard Art Co-operative – Sarah Trewhella and Sally Cole, sharing Mudgeon Vean Studio, a short distance from the Gear Farm Pasty Shop and the Helford River.
Sarah produces original framed and U/F paintings in ink and cards, also glass and mixed media. She produces work derived from her interest in life and death cycles, the seasons and natural plant and animal forms. The beautiful environments of the Lizard and Helford River areas, inspire her work.
Sally is a printmaker and painter exhibiting original framed and U/F work and cards. She enjoys working with the traditional restraints of the relief print, but she also likes to push its boundaries with more experimental monoprints. Her wood engravings are produced using end grain boxwood blocks finished and polished then cut into with small chisels and printed as you would a lino cut. With her paintings and drawings, she tries to unravel the intricacies in found objects and places which she finds appealing.

Directions
Directions from Helston: Take the A3083 from Helston, through CULDROSE NAVAL AIR STATION until you come to the Lizard roundabout. Turn left onto the B3293 towards ST. KEVERNE & COVERACK until you come to MAWGAN roundabout. Take the second left off the roundabout and continue through Mawgan Village, past the Church, over two small bridges alongside the estuary, then up the hill past Gear Farm Pasty Shop. Continue for about 100yds and you can either take the next left along the narrow road down to Tremayne Quay and up the hill the other side and turn sharp left into Mudgeon Vean Lane. OR After Gear Farm continue into St. Martin and turn Left at the Green / Bus Hut. Follow the road to the end Crossroads, Turn left (NOT straight across-that is Mudgeon Farm not Mudgeon Vean). Follow the road down until it gets quite narrow and Mudgeon Vean is SECOND on the right, down a farm lane, before you drop down the hill. If you go on down the hill to the NT Tremayne Quay walk area/car park you have gone too far. The hedge has been moved back and there is a cattle grid as you come into the lane. It is clearly signposted ‘Mudgeon Vean’ on both sides of the hedge.
