About this event
A climate change themed coffee morning at the Godolphin Arms, Marazion, is set to join the biggest conversation about climate change the country has ever seen.
Inviting people from all walks of life to learn more about climate change, the event, hosted by the RSPB and The Women’s Institute, will be one of many Climate Coalition activities running across the country as 22 million people get involved.
The two organisations will host the event on Saturday the 15th of February for an opportunity to learn more about the effects of climate change on Mounts Bay and the wider community with the help of informative talks and presentations.
With a focus on “protecting what we love for nature”, the family friendly coffee morning is part of the UK wide ‘Show the Love’ initiative which brings people together to campaign for the future of nature. Also discussing solutions and actions that everyone can take to help reduce the impacts of climate change, the Climate Coalition event is open to all.
With an optional beach clean included in the morning’s proceedings – which begin at 10am until 11:30am – there is also the opportunity to get hands on in helping to preserve the special beach for wildlife and people alike.
The morning is set to be an insightful discussion as part of the wider initiative, with The Women’s Institute providing some tasty cakes, and tea or coffee available for just £1 thanks to the generosity of the Godolphin Arms.
