About this event
My pastel, oil and mixed media paintings and prints pursue those elusive moments in time as clouds, sun and shadows race across Penwith’s spectacular moorland and sea. I want to capture its unique magic with strong colourful images, ranging in price from £40 to £1000+, and in size from 1ft x 1ft to 3ft x 4ft – I really enjoy working on the larger scale! The direct bold strokes of pastel on paper give colour and energy. Oil paints bring their own special depth and power.
My enamelled jewellery reflects the colours and shapes of things observed in the landscape – feathers, leaves, shells, birds in flight etc.
The view over farmland and cliffs to the ocean from my studio windows never fails to inspire me, although it can also be a serious distraction from my work when the sun slides towards the horizon on a lovely evening, nature creating its own spectacular masterpiece! Even misty mornings are alluring.

There are 4 steps down to the door (with a handrail). Work is displayed on both ground and first floors.
Directions
Botallack (spectacular Crowns engine houses) is a mile north of St Just on the B3306 coast road to St Ives. Park by the Green at the 2nd village entrance. Cresswell Tce is 30 yds up the B3306 on left. Access between No's 5 & 6, turn right for No.9
