About this event
Ricarda Schmidt (viola) and Ute Weikenmeier (piano) return to Jopes Mill for an evening of music and poetry. This is a collaboration between the duo and actor Sam Freegard. Ute and Ricarda say: “This is a concert that means a lot to us since it combines the two things that matter most to us: music and poetry.
We are very fortunate to have Sam as speaker for this project: poetry played and spoken, music spoken and played. The beauty of words by poets such as Hesse, Rückert, and MacLeish, combined with the beauty of music by composers such as Mahler, Pärt, Britten and more.”

Details
Parking is 25 yards from the venue. There are two steps down into the venue. There is a separate entrance which is more accessible for wheelchairs, but there is still a lip to get over.
