A new exhibition from Falmouth-based artist Jon White

Jon White is a contemporary seascape artist based in Falmouth. Having grown up in Cornwall he trained in the USA as a studio apprentice to international artist Makoto Fujimura before returning to Falmouth where he paints from his home studio. Jon says of his work…

“There is a slow and rhythmic way I approach my work that often leads me to quick and intuitive bursts that bring a painting into it’s fullness. These ‘burst’s’ require a leaning into the intuitive over the rational. My hope is that my work provokes a sense of beauty, mystery and wonder to the viewer.”

The exhibition is free to view in Trebah’s Visitor Centre
