Welcome to Cornwall - but it might not be the one you see on TV...

Join Penzance poet, Gray Lightfoot, along with Kate Barden and Robert Erskine, as they present a short play for voices called SEA FEAR (taken from Gray’s poem of the same name) which imagines a conversation, high up on Carn Brea, between a poet and a young Redruth woman whose children have never seen the sea.

Listen to more of Gray’s poems about Cornish issues of second homes, lack of housing and decent jobs, deserted villages and over-tourism, and two short stories, written by Ross James and Catherine Leyshon, both set in Camborne.

Tickets are free, but are limited. Pay what you can donations to the CPR Foodbank will be gratefully accepted.

Parking is limited. New Cut car park is a short 5 minute walk away.

Details

Kresen Kernow is fully wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with lifts to all levels and automatic main entrance doors. Accessible toilets are available on both floors, with a fully-equipped Changing Places toilet also available on the ground floor. Separate baby changing facilities are also available on the ground floor. If you are arriving by vehicle, there are six accessible parking spaces at the Tesco side of the building and a level entrance into the building. If you are arriving on foot or wheels, from Redruth town centre, the closest entrance is at the end of the public path which runs through the old brewery site, from Chapel Street to Kresen Kernow.
