Writing Course

Six Week Creative Writing for Wellbeing Course at Inner Space, Newlyn.

An immersive six-week creative writing course for all abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced writers. Each week we will work on both honing and creating pieces of writing through expressive writing prompts that will get your creativity flowing, as well as enhance your well-being and improve your writing skills.

Throughout the course, we will work through a range of creative writing techniques towards creating a piece of writing. The piece can be either a fictional, life writing or poetry piece.

In the final week, we will share our finished pieces of writing with the rest of the group during a reading of our work at Inner Space Studio. Writers will then have the opportunity, to see their work published on the Write 2 Heal Website.

The course runs weekly, between 10:30 – 11:30am from the 10th September – 15th October 2022 and is priced at £85 per person. The price includes your own notebook, pen, and healing crystal to use throughout and keep after the course. Payment and booking are required in advance. Limited places are available. The workshops will be socially distanced to make them safer for all, and face masks can be worn if you wish to.

The course is taught by Kelly, a published writer with a BA (Hons) in English Literature & Creative Writing. She has a specific interest in using writing for its well-being benefits due to her own life experience of living with chronic health conditions since she was in her early 20s. She is also a trained and experienced Wellness Coach who has also studied Advanced Meditation. Kelly is based in Hayle, Cornwall, and formed Write 2 Heal in 2021, in the hope of bringing Creative Writing for Wellbeing to a wide and diverse range of people.
