A remarkable insight into one of Britain's most important twentieth century artists.

The Barbara Hepworth Museum is temporarily closed until at least 1 May, in line with advice from Public Health England.

Join a member of the gallery team for an informal introduction to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.

A leading figure of modern British art from the 1930’s, in 1949 Barbara Hepworth created a studio and sculpture garden in St Ives where she lived and worked for the rest of her life. Comprising over 30 works in wood, stone, plaster and bronze, the museum and garden give a remarkable insight into one of Britain’s most important twentieth century artists.

Touch tours are also available for individuals with a visual impairment. Accompanied by a Touch Tour guide and wearing sculpture conservation gloves, this is an opportunity to touch and discuss the composition, materials and histories of a number of iconic Tate collection works at Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
