About this event
Tate St Ives are temporarily closed until at least 1 May, in line with advice from Public Health England.
Join a member of the gallery team for an informal introduction to the Modern Art and St Ives display. In the display, national and international figures connected to modern art in the town are covered, from Ben Nicholson, Barbara Hepworth and Peter Lanyon, to Piet Mondrian, Naum Gabo and Mark Rothko. The display also highlights links to the wider story of British art.
Touch tours are also available for individuals with a visual impairment. Accompanied by a Touch Tour guide and wearing sculpture conservation gloves, this is an opportunity to touch and discuss the composition, materials and histories of a number of iconic Tate collection works at Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
Dates and times upon request. Booking is essential. Free sponsored tickets available. Each ticket includes entry for a companion.
