About this event
The St. John Inn will be hosting a free to attend Apple festival for anyone to come along and have their apples pressed into juice in exchange for a donation to the village church renovation fund.
The event with have live music throughout the day from Halfway Harmony, Spittin’ Feathers, The Derry Airs and Rocksea in the evening. Wreckers Morris Dancers will also be performing during the afternoon.
In addition, there will be a Cider bar, Hog Roast, an apple themed cookery demonstration from chef Steve Pugh of “Steve’s Cookery School”, and an Apple Pie competition.
Lederhosen and Dirndl dresses are encouraged as part of the Oktoberfest fancy dress theme for the day!
There will be numerous craft stalls during the afternoon for anyone looking for an early Christmas present!
This year the pub is providing a free bus service with a vintage 1960’s single decker Western National bus running all afternoon and evening between Torpoint and Millbrook area. Full timetable will be available on the Facebook page nearer the time.
