About this event
I have been a potter since 2018 exploring styles, techniques, shapes and glazes. I am inspired by the clay itself and how it responds to the movement of the wheel, interacting with the pressure of my hands, arms, breath and body. The magic of making continues with the alchemy of glazes as they transform in the heat of the kiln. It can be as elusive as turning base metal to gold but I never tire of experimenting.
Are you drawn to pottery? Does it speak to you? I love talking pottery and I am happy for you to ask me about it all. I am currently exploring crackled textures with traditional Celadon glaze; two-tone blue and green glazes; white on St Agnes buff clay; some raku, pit-fired and obvara. Pots available to buy or just browse: decorative vessels, practical coasters, wall planters, lasagna dishes, mugs, plates and unique wall-mounted soap dishes.
