About this event
For our Festival finale, acclaimed Early and World music group Sirinu perform a lively evening of tunes from the time of Elizabeth I, to celebrate the jubilee year of Elizabeth II. Featuring popular songs and dance tunes from the court and countryside, including music by Cornish renaissance composer Giles Farnaby and settings of songs from Shakespeare.
Since their acclaimed debut in 1992, Sirinu have established a reputation at the cutting edge of Early and World music performance. They have toured extensively throughout Europe, as well as touring for the British Council in Turkey, Egypt, and South America. They have made many recordings for Hyperion, Chandos, Metier, and other labels. In this concert Matthew Spring and Sara Stowe are joined by son Lewis. http://sirinu.org/
