About this event
For the second concert of the season, in a departure from the usual classical programming, Truro Three Arts have invited improvising musician Paul Harris, aka Harry The Piano. Regularly featured on BBC Radio 3, where Harry is known for his ability to extemporise in the style of any composer upon request, Harry has been described by Classic FM as “one of the most gifted improvisers in the world”.
After being spotted early in his career whilst playing at the Groucho Club, Harry went on to lead bands on TV shows on Channel 4 and BBC1 for many years, and then launch his own cabaret show, which has toured the world and been performed in private audiences to both King Charles III and Queen Elizabeth II. At the T3A concert Harry will play various melodies and routines, followed by invitation to the audience to choose any tune in any style.
“His phenomenal talent, unobtrusive charm and wit are a delight” said Stephen Fry.
