About this event
Kelsey’s music is a hotline to the elements, nature and the landscape, bonding listeners through a re-kindling of their collective experiences. With a dynamic and wide-reaching vocal range, she is a singer who can take you to rare and exhilarating places, creating a world of textures within a pop song. Her set moves through lullabies, catchy pop tunes and classic R&B-influenced grooves featuring Greg Dyer (Radio Rio, Kabasa) on drums and Ben Kypreos (Cahooty) on bass, with Kelsey on the Acorn grand piano, keyboards and Shruti Box. Stay tuned for news about a special guest performer to be announced in due course.
Kelsey is a regular collaborator with Sean O’Hagan of the High Llamas featuring on a number of his albums. She has toured with The the as a backing vocalist and features on Jocelyn Pook’s soundtrack for Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes wide shut.
