About this event
Working in painting, collage, printmaking, stone sculpture, recycled materials, cards. My work is semi-abstract, expressionist, gestural, organic, colourful, musical. I create in collaboration with the music that I have playing at the time. The creative process is a dance between me, the music and the media. The intention is to respond to and release the colours, rhythms, shapes and story of the music onto the canvas or stone such that there is a sense of both the individual moment and the coming together in composition.
As well as the music, in its many guises – harmonic, dissonant, thunderous serene, joyous and dark – other inspirations and preoccupations include the sea and swimming, nature, the human form, time, light and dark, stillness and movement, ebb and flow, union and disunion and the tensions therein.
All work will be available for purchase, prices ranging from £1 – £500 and will be on show in a home setting.
