About this event
Blacktop Deluxe have reformed with their original ‘Power Trio’ lineup of Keith Howe on Vocals & Guitar, Alan Ibbotson on Drums & Vocals and Tim Chapple on Bass. Back on the road, touring their very own ‘Weapons Grade’, Rockin’ Blues again, they are only adding to their heritage as a ‘Live Band’, having already shared stages with Deep Purple, Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout, Thunder, Peter Frampton, Wishbone Ash and many more, and you don’t get to rub shoulders with those kind of artists without good reason.
Otto has been a blues singer and guitarist for over 20 years & coming from a heavy rock background, his vocals and guitar style is aggressive and intricate. Growing up listening to Johnny Winter, Walter Trout and Gary Moore (as well as a healthy dose of Blacktop Deluxe), he’s renowned for blending soulful acoustics with hard and heavy blues.
The Acorn is “a favourite venue for us with some great memories of previous gigs, including Larry Miller, Poppa Chubby and Virgil & The Accelerators” said the guys, “and having Otto on the same bill will make for a memorable night”.
So if you’re looking for a super tight, aggressive evening of ‘Weapons Grade, Rockin’ Blues’, this is an evening not to be missed.
TIs the music tight and aggressive enough for a Sunday night in Penzance? Don’t take our word for it – go to https://youtu.be/SGpubMGL7Rw
