About this event

I handprint Lino-cuts depicting animals, birds and marine creatures. My work is inspired by the beautiful coast of West Cornwall.

I am proud to be a part of the group of artists showcasing their work at Trevelloe Farm.

My limited edition handprinted Lino-cuts reflect my fascination with the environment. I hope it will inspire a curiosity and appreciation of the animals we share our space with and bring an awareness of the beauty and fragility of a world that is there to be discovered. Each print is the culmination of the traditional process of relief printing.

It all starts with an idea, a sketch then a detailed drawing before being transferred to a block of Lino for carving. Once the image is carved, the printing begins. Traditional Japanese paper is used with oil based inks and handprinted. Each print although similar, is an individual original, no two prints in a run are identical. that’s the nature of hand printing.
