The Circus Works Adult Student Gala Spectacular
Cirque Du Ciel (CDC) is a local charity that has a strong, mutually supportive relationship with the Acorn Theatre Penzance. CDC seeks to promote, preserve and develop the Circus Arts, and uses circus skill-based activities to bring about positive personal and social development, in a variety of youth, social and community contexts. Since September 2018, for example, CDC has been running Family Friendly Circus Skill sessions weekly at the Acorn Theatre with great results.
Every penny of the proceeds from gala ticket sales will go directly to help CDC maintain the provision of the ‘Circus ‘Works’, Devoran, an amazing physical performance art & training resource. Since its creation in March 2019, it has been successfully providing quality circus skill-based learning, training and performance facilities and opportunities, to all, regardless of age or ability, from locally based and touring professionals, to tots.
The level of positive feedback from the local community, parents, service users and locally based professionals has been overwhelming.
Why not come along, and watch ordinary folk doing extraordinary things, in love and support of Cirque Du Ciel? You’ll be supporting a great cause, and we hope that you’ll be inspired to go along and get involved with them, at the Acorn, or in Devoran. Each Gala is also a great opportunity to see the amazing variety of activities you can get involved with via them too.
CDC would like to take this opportunity to thank Airfish Circus, Sequoia Movement, Nays Yoga, Le Vell Pole Dance, the Acorn Theatre & Vagabond Circus for their continued encouragement, and support.
