Join Sian Cornish, founder of Lancaster & Cornish botanical dye studio, in exploring the wonderful vibrant shades of yellow that can be achieved on cloth with botanical plant dyes.

In the Cotehele workshop room, we will study the process of preparing and dyeing textiles with natural dyes and take an in depth look at Weld (reseda luteola) – a temperate plant yielding vibrant yellow pigments, as well as experimenting with colour from Daffodil flowers, straight from the Cotehele estate.
All materials and light refreshments are included, and you will take home silk ribbon samples from our group dyeing experiments and a beautiful silk length.
The course is suitable for beginners and requires no specialist knowledge.
Unsuitable for children.
Please come to Visitor Reception and ask to be directed to the Education Room.
Please bring an old shirt or apron to protect your clothes.
There are stairs leading to the Education Room.
