I live in Marazion, where wonderful views of the coast, countryside, and the Mount can be seen in my paintings and cards of this lovely area.
You are very welcome to come and visit our cottage and view my work which includes acrylic and oil paintings, with addition of pencil, crayon and oil pastels. I paint on board, canvas, wood panels and paper, mainly using brushes of various sizes, and palette knife, plus tools which make expressive abstract marks. Occasionally I use collage too. Most paintings are based on the sea, sky and land around this area, in either vibrant or more muted tones, but always atmospheric.
I’ve always loved painting and drawing from a very young age, being encouraged by my father who was also a painter. I love making art and hopefully you can detect that in my work.
I moved to Cornwall in 2008, and since living here I have exhibited with success in various galleries around Cornwall including, Marazion, Newlyn, Porthleven and Kingsand, along with a couple of solo exhibitions in Penzance and Gulval. I have regularly exhibited in St Ives and St Just.
So do hope you manage to call by and have a look at what I make.
