About this event
I am an illustrator/bookmaker working from my studio at Krowji in Cornwall. In 2009 I graduated from Falmouth University with a master’s degree in Authorial Illustration. Since then, I have set up the Old School Press, where I design and illustrate limited edition self-publications.
I have always had a passion for storytelling, and this is at the heart of my work. Themes are grown from my surroundings but take you far from the familiar on an unexpected journey. Observation has been key in breathing life into my work. Enriching drawings with little details, facial expressions, posture, and pattern has been essential in giving strength and emotion to my characters.
I use a combination of drawing, printmaking, and bookbinding techniques to realise my projects.
From my narratives I have produced a range of limited-edition books, prints and cards.

Directions
From A30, take main Redruth exit and follow A3047 towards Pool/Camborne. Pass Redruth school on your left and after about 200 metres turn left into West Park just before the large roundabout.
