Classical Indian music and dance from Soumalya Mukhopadhyay, Sanchari Roy and Samit Banik

Soumalya Mukhopadhyay, Sanchari Roy and Samit Banik will perform Indian Classical Music and Dance on 25th April, 2024.

Soumalya Mukhopadhyay is an Indian Slide Classical Guitar (Mohanveena) performer, an empanelled artist of ICCR, All India Radio and a scholarship holder from the Ministry of Culture.

Sanchari Roy is an Indian Classical dancer (Specialising in Bharatanatyam), a member of the West Bengal Dance Group Federation, and Awarded Bharatha Natyamani from Hosur Natyanjali.

Tabla player Samit Banik was awarded Sangit Ranta from Bangiya Sangeet Parisad and Sangeet Bhusan from Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.

Recently, they have successfully completed the ‘SVAYAMBHU’ project UK tour in October 2023.

They are going to perform Solo Bharatanatyam, an Indian slide guitar solo with tabla ( traditional North Indian raga and some semi-classical composition), along with Trio of Indian slide guitar, Bharatnatyam and tabla (Fusion between North and South Indian classical music).
