About this event
Gwynne draws inspiration from the shoreline around St Ives Bay. Fascinated with the ever-changing inter-tidal zone, Porthmeor Beach and The Island have been the main subject of her work in recent years. Gwynne’s paintings and sculptures encapsulate her experiences and observations over time of this unique environment and embody a strong sense of place, curiosity and imagination. Within the work is a hint at fragility below the surface, as each ebb and flow of the tide brings change, marks the passing of time, and emphasises the impermanence of everything.
