About this event
My work has evolved from being project-based, exploring concepts often connected to a given location or sense of being somewhere. More recently I have returned to paint and mark-making in expressing inner sensations in relation to place, the natural world and myself, with themes of the feminine and the mother emerging, alongside continuing themes of journeying, pilgrimage and spiritual connections with nature such as holy wells.
My work connects me back to myself as a form of meditation and re-grounding or positioning myself. It is a continual evolving journey of expression of myself as a human, women, mother and creative being.
Alongside more recent work I will also have my ‘Birds from the Train’ series of prints and cards available to buy.
My studio is in the top most corner of the new building at Krowji, with views of Carn Brea and St. Agnes Beacon, surrounded by trees; I think of it almost as a little tree house! I will have work for sale (tiny upwards) and also work in progress. You are very welcome to come along to browse, explore, connect or buy. There is also a great café on site to pace your Krowji visit (there’s a lot to see here!)
