About this event
Maya’s carbon-neutral studio nestled beside the stunning views of the Penryn River. The studio stands as a creative dock, where the essence of local land and seascapes flows into the gallery artists work, shaping collections of contemporary jewellery and coastal paintings.
Guided by her commitment to sustainability, Maya welcomes customers to bring in their unused jewellery, which she skillfully reshapes rather than sourcing new materials. In her distinctive ‘Raw’ and textured style, Maya melts molten silver and gold as if wielding a paintbrush, resulting in free-flowing, expressive forms reminiscent of the organic lines found in her sketches and drawings.
Step into this little corner of Cornwall to meet Maya and the creative community of Jubilee Wharf Gallery. Here you are free to browse, try on jewellery and learn more about the process of jewellery-making by watching Maya at work.
