About this event
Sue paints in a large barn studio just outside of Bude. With easy access, it’s a delightful setting to immerse yourself in her wonderful paintings, prints and cards. Having appeared on Rick Steins Cornwall, her work is in demand and full of movement, energy, soulful colour and subtle markmaking. A plein air painter, her work has the immediacy of instinctive painting with the subtle nuances of more thoughtful contemplation back in the studio.
Sue likes to communicate her art personally so that you have a feeling of being in the paintings and in the moment too. With all the inspiration of changing weather and seasons, there is a lot to enjoy in the variety of work on show. From large 2 metre canvases to smaller framed pieces on board, there is also a selection of limited giclee canvas prints and paper prints too.
Although one of the most northerly Open Studios in Cornwall, it never disappoints. It is easy to find, with plenty of parking, a cafe on site and several traditional local pubs if making a special trip. If you want to make a visit outside of my opening hours, please get in touch to make arrangements.

From A39 at Stratton, head to Poughill/Sandymouth for 1 mile. Wooda Farm Park is 100yrs past the crossroads on the right. From Bude, head to Poughill and up past the Prestongate Inn up to the crossroads. Take a left. Wooda is 100 yrds on the right .
