About this event
Theresa Shaw is a Penzance artist with an instantly recognisable style based on her love of colour, contrast and bold shapes. The big skies and wild landscapes of Cornwall provide endless inspiration for her unique paintings in acrylic gouache.
Quietly obsessed with line and form, Theresa endeavours to create images with a strong sense of rhythm and depth, and throwing colour and contrast into the mix means that each piece makes a bold statement that can’t be ignored. She hopes her work is seen as uplifting and positive with the view that whatever else is happening in life or the wider world, there is still a bright spot of colour to bring joy.
Her work can be found in several galleries around the country and is held in private collections around the world.
Visit her home studio for a selection of originals, prints, greeting cards, cushions and lampshades.
