Learn basics of throwing, prepping, wedging, centring, turning, decorating, glazing, kiln basics.

5 weeks course. Start dates – Wed 17th April, Thurs 18th April, Friday 19th April 10.30am – 1pm. And Saturday 20th April 3pm – 5.30pm For beginners and intermediates. Class size 3

You will learn the basics of throwing, from prepping clay, wedging, centring, health and safety, cleaning down, turning, decorating, glazing and kiln basics. Expect to make at least 5 fired finished pots (more likely)
Fun but very informative, slightly addictive and very satisfying.

We will start with throwing cylinders for cups and progress to bowls. We will try out some decorative techniques with slip.
All materials and firings and glazing included.

Tutored by Sarah Sullivan – a potter with many years experience.
By the end of the 5 weeks you will learn how to throw, trim/turn, add handles, decorate your pots from start to finish.
