About this event
With Trebah’s unique gardens as inspiration, novelist and nature writer Polly Roberts will guide you to explore selfhood through wildlife to create poems and prose, using writing exercises as a tool to ground you in place. The workshop will include an opportunity to write outdoors and explore the gardens themselves.
Polly is a writer and counsellor and facilitates creative writing workshops around Cornwall, specialising in Nature Writing and Writing for Wellbeing. In 2019, she was named by the British Council as one of three UK emerging nature writers. Her debut poetry collection, Grieving with the Animals was published in 2020. Her debut novel, Together We Evolve, a story of personal and environmental rewilding, was published in 2023. Dr Stephen Moss, author of Ten Birds That Changed The World, describes Polly’s writing as, ‘Deftly exploring the borders and boundaries between humanity and nature.’
