About this event

This year I’ll showing with Phil Ward at his studio. I draw, sculpt and paint. It is a lifelong passion and I’m so happy to be showing again.

Phil and I do life drawing together with figurative work being the starting point for a lot of our work.

I work in stone, clay and cement and found objects too. I am interested in the dual/multi facets that we have as people and in our relationships with ourselves and others. My work can be quite dreamlike and Egypt has played a large part in my life and work. I didn’t realise quite how much until I visited there in 1988, then living there from 94-96. I have a strong bond with ancient art and feel that the ancient world exists in our modern lives. This often comes through in my work.
