I make wooden surfboards and other floating objects.
at the studio in Newquay, you can see different boards at different stages of the building process. every board is crafted here start to finish by either my pair of hands or by one of the participants in of of our build-your-own workshops we’ve been running since 2009.
most of the boards are hollow skin-on-frame constructed and bespoke one-off pieces. we also do bellyboards/paipos and recycled bodyboards that we re-skinwith wood and cork.
below the workshop studio is a small coffee bar/ micro gallery that occasionally has art by changing artists on the wall. this year we also have a selection of books and surf-related stuff with the focus on sustainability in here.

we are located at the wonderland that is mount wise car park in newquay. above slow response coffee and easy to reach by car, bicycle, horse or foot. from newquay high street follow the little alley that goes up next to rowes bakeries.
