About this event
Join us on the Queen’s jubilee weekend to see the fantastic contemporary craft and art that local young people have been making with our School of Make.
Everyone is welcome to join in with our drop in workshops making recycled jewellery, embroidering your jeans, having a go with acrylic paints and archelogical pyrography.
Our monthly contemporary craft workshops at Gover Green Space are open to anybody between the ages of 11 and 18 as a way of trying out new techniques, learning practical creative skills that can be used to earn money, finding creative ways to express themselves, making new friends, talking about things and eating decent cake…
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Community Renewal Fund in Cornwall.
