About this event

Immersive Art Exhibition and Workshops at Royal Cornwall Museum.

This is a story of the artist Natalie Day’s journey; returning to Cornwall, reconnecting, coming full circle.

Rich in mining and ritualistic history, these rural landscapes have been calling Natalie to investigate and contemplate what is above and below ground, the human impact on nature, our place in this world.

With this body of work, Natalie continues to explore the use of natural pigments and paints made from the earth – these are paintings about the land, made of the land. Writing and video accompany the paintings to allow you a unique insight into an artists perception of coming home, rediscovering and reconnecting what makes this land so special. Include a visit to the geology exhibit in the Museum and really get a sense of what is under our feet!

Workshops and events alongside this exhibition will bring the community together to discuss and create, echoing the ancient gatherings on Cornwall’s sacred landscapes.
