About this event
Please note this event has been postponed.
Julu Irvine and Heg Brignall have fast made their name as a fresh new duo on the South West folk scene.
Their harmony-rich songs are inspired by strong female characters in history, mythology and personal experience, creating evocative stories using vocal harmonies, guitar, flute and piano.
As well as their captivating original folk music, Julu and Heg play unique arrangements of traditional songs, all with humour and two beautifully matched voices.
Both have been involved separately in other musical projects, gaining recognition across the folk and popular music scenes through appearing on BBC Introducing and festival appearances at Cambridge, Sidmouth and Glastonbury amongst others.
Their debut album is due for release in 2020, with the first single release recorded by Lukas Drinkwater.
