Two of Belgium’s finest chamber musicians
Please note this event has been postponed.
Nikolaas Kende & Jolente De Maeyer have been described as two of Belgium’s finest chamber musicians. Individually and as a duo they have received many awards and received glowing reviews for their performances.
Recognized at a young age for their precocious talents, their playing of chamber music has subsequently taken them around the world to USA, China, South Africa and the mainland of Europe. They are now on a short visit to the UK.
Their playing is musically sensitive, stylistically aware and expressive. They breathe new life into old favourites and introduce audiences to works by exciting contemporary composers, as can be seen from the selection for their programme at Calstock Arts.
Nikolaas’ & Jolente’s recording of Beethoven’s “Kreutzer Sonata” was met by a host of reviews praising their achievement including a gold award as “Best chamber music album of 2016″ by Klassiek Centraal.
