About this event
Make a piece of jewellery you can wear everyday that connects you directly to the structure of our historic building.
The offcuts of oak used in this workshop is the same wood used in the theatre’s auditorium. This fits seamlessly with Sarah’s ethos of using recycled and sustainable materials.
The workshop will use soldering, filing, and finishing techniques to make the eco-silver (recycled silver) base; then use riveting cold connections techniques to attach your chosen oak piece and embellish it.

This creative making workshop is part of the Makers Workshops series celebrating the heritage within our building. Each workshop will explore a different material present in our historic theatre building, City Hall. From oak and terrazzo, granite and ceramics to fresh florals, we use our building as our canvas.
Our Makers Workshop series is made possible thanks to a generous award from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Other makers running workshops as part of our Materials season include Badger & Birch, Wild Rose Cornwall, Starglazers, City of Lights and Wild Sea Calligraphy.
All materials provided and no prior experience necessary. Workshops are hosted in a friendly, inclusive and accessible location within Hall for Cornwall. Exact location on arrival. Over 18s only. Ticket price to include a hot beverage.
Workshop Advice: Please remember your glasses and wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear.
