About this event
Hello Stranger is a comprehensive community engagement program that spans towns, schools, and diverse communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Led by Wildworks, the UK’s leading landscape theatre company, the outreach is extensive and encompasses collaborations with St Petrocs and individuals experiencing homelessness, disadvantaged and marginalised young people, Death Cafés and people experiencing loss, refugee communities, people living with disabilities, the WI, and individuals living upon Cornwall’s borders. Everyone is invited.
As part of the initiative, Wildworks has also established partnerships with Cornwall schools. This involves conducting one-day theatre workshops in ten secondary schools, where they introduce their innovative approaches to theatre in the landscape. Additionally, they are intensively creating work with five schools and their local communities.
The project will culminate in a large series of events, installations, performances and experiences across Cornwall.
Hello Stranger is part of the We Are Shining project, led by Wildworks. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
