About this event
Make your own shadow puppets to tell a Cornish tale.
Join John Roberts, artistic director of nationally renowned puppet troupe PuppetCraft, as he demonstrates traditional and modern shadow puppets collected from around the world. He will guide you through making simple articulated cardboard puppets which produce surprising and beautiful images when their shadows are projected from behind a screen.
Books by Enys Tregarthen – who features in our current exhibition ‘Women of Cornwall’ – will provide a rich source of inspiration with drawings and stories of fantastical creatures and happenings.
The stories can be filmed on your phone at the end of the day to show family and friends. There will also be the option of a tour behind the scenes at Kresen Kernow.
The workshop is aimed at adults and costs £15 – please phone 01209 614430 during our opening hours, to book your space or pop in to book and pay.
Our last ARTchive workshop was fully booked so grab your tickets quickly!
